About Barstobrick

Barstobrick House was built for one of the Neilson family in the early 1930’s. James Beaumont Neilson who was the inventor of the hot blast furnace became the local Laird in the area and lived in Queenshill Manor which was destroyed by fire in the late 1900’s Barstobrick House was occupied by his grandson till the 1960’s. We moved here over 20 years ago.
