Heather Cottage
A smaller two bedroom cottage consisting of an open plan kitchen, dining and living area. Two bedrooms, one with a double bed and a small bedroom with bunk beds ideally suited for children. There is a family shower room with washbasin and wc.
The Kitchen is equipped with all appliances and equipment that you will need for your stay.
The lounge area has ample seating a flat screen tv that receives freeview and has an internet connection and free WiFi is available.
There is ample car parking and if required secure indoor parking can be provided for motorcycles.
Local Attractions
Kirkcudbright is known as the artists town because a group of painters named the Glasgow Boys favoured its location and one of their group E A Hornell made his home in Broughton House, it is open to visitors along with several galleries in the town.
Logan Botanical Gardens display a large selection of tropical species especially for the west coast of Scotland.
Portpatrick is a pretty harbour less than one hours drive away, it has numerous sea front pubs and restaurants serving food.
Mountain biking is well catered for in the area, information can be found on the Dumfries web site though it is not very informative, however the alltrails website lists the majority of popular routes in the area. https://www.alltrails.com/en-gb/scotland/dumfries-and-galloway/mountain-biking
Walking is very popular and in Scotland there is unrestricted access as to where you can walk, that said it is not wise to walk through fields where livestock are present, there are numerous paths and trails in the area so as to make this unnecessary. Please keep all dogs on a lead.

Cottage rental rates are priced per day.
Heather Cottage is let for the following periods, Friday to Friday, Friday to Monday or Monday to Friday but if you do have some specific dates in mind please get in touch, if we can accommodate you we will.
The accommodation is is best suited for a couple with up to two children, most pets are allowed but prior arrangement is required and a cleaning charge may be applied.
Minimum stay two nights.
Rate per night £110.
